The more people present, the better! Make plans to attend our regular meeting at the Tam!
There is no official dress code, but most of our members wear a coat and tie to attend our General Membership Meetings. If you’d like to buy an official SAR tie, speak with our Treasurer at our next meeting!

Established in 1845, the New England Historical Genealogical Society is a leading research source and the largest Society of its kind in the world. Their website www.AmericanAncestors.org provides access to more than 1.4 billion records from twenty-two countries covering the United States, the British Isles, and continental Europe. Plus the largest searchable collection of published genealogical research journals and magazines, and the largest collection of U.S Catholic records online.
About Christine Cohen:
She is a long time member of the Whittier Area Genealogical Society (WAGS), and is currently the Program Director. In addition to WAGS, she is also a member of the El Redondo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Past 1st Vice Regent), the Society of Daughters of Holland Dames and the Association of Professional Genealogists.
Her interest in genealogy began in 1977 with the airing of the TV mini-series Roots and was piqued when she found a typed pedigree chart commissioned by her grandfather of her Dutch heritage from the New Netherlands in the 1660’s. She is a native Californian, a graduate of UCLA in Political Science and has recently retired to pursue genealogy research and presenting full-time.
