Wreaths Across America Veteran Grave prep & cleanup

As we prepare for National Wreaths Across America Day, DAR and SAR will prep for the day.

First, we’ll be performing an clean-up around veterans graves on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery.  Because the conditions throughout the cemetery vary due to trees losing leaves, mowing debris, etc., some of the veteran graves are hardly visible.  We can’t clean up the entire cemetery, but a few extra hand to remove piles of leaves can make our tasks the following week a lot easier.  DAR will bring a few rakes, a cordless leaf blower, and hand clippers and a whisk broom.  We’ll bring leaf/lawn waste bags. If you have garden tools to bring, the more the merrier.  Any help we can attract for an hour or so will be welcome.
