General Membership Meeting 19 July 2025; Female Patriots of the Revolutionary War

The Sons of Liberty Chapter will hold an IN PERSON General Membership Meeting.

We are back at the Tam! The Tam O’Shanter has been a regular meeting place for Sons of Liberty Chapter SAR for years, and we are pleased to return to the Tam!

Colleen Dragovich will present on Female Patriots of the Revolutionary War.

Bring your wives, sisters, daughters! The Revolution was not fought by men alone!

Colleen Dragovich is currently serving as Regent of Covina Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and also serves as the Chair of the California State Speaker’s Staff for the California State Society DAR. Colleen was the 2021 State Outstanding Junior, the highest honor for a DAR Member under the age of 35. As a member of the DAR, she is the verified descendant of 6 Revolutionary Patriots that served in New York and Virginia as Militiamen – one of them serving with Gen. George Washington, and has had family serving in the military during every armed conflict since the Revolution.

She is a proud Navy Brat, born and raised at the Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego – her father served for 10 years during the Persian Gulf conflict. Colleen is passionate about Human Rights, Veterans, and American History, and finds herself enjoying the professional and volunteer work she does year-round. Colleen has two Master’s Degrees and is currently working for the State of California as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for individuals with disabilities and helps them find employment that suits their unique needs.

There is no official dress code, but most of our members wear a coat and tie to attend our General Membership Meetings. If you’d like to buy an official SAR tie, speak with our Treasurer at our next meeting!
